Georgian Observers to Monitor Presidential Elections in Ukraine

A Georgian delegation will visit Ukraine to observe the presidential elections.

The delegation will comprise MPs, employees of the parliamentary apparatus and representatives of the Central Election Commission, the Georgian parliament told Trend News.

Georgian Deputy Parliamentary Speaker George Tsereteli said participation of the Georgian observers in the monitoring process indicates that Georgia interested in the Ukrainian presidential elections.

Following the monitoring, the Georgian election observers will make a report on the elections.

Ukraine will hold the presidential elections Jan.17. Current President Viktor Yushchenko is godfather to his Georgian Counterpart Mikheil Saakashvili.
