The US Agency for International Development (USAID) plans to launch a project to draw supplementary investment inflows to the hydro power system of Georgia.
The project duration makes up 3 years and it aims at generating additional 400 megawatts in the power system of Georgia thanks to renewable and ecologically clean energy resources. The project total budget is an estimated 8.9 million USD.
The project will ensure drawing both domestic and foreign investments to the energy sector of Georgia.
The project is part of the US Government post-conflict assistance program for Georgia, which counts for 125 million USD.
