EU-Georgia Business Council Issues Publication to Promote Georgian Winemakers on Norwegian Market


The European Union-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) in collaboration with the Arve Thorvik, founder and manager for Thorvik International Consulting (TIC), EUGBC honorable member, has issued a publication called as Peculiarities of Norway Market for Alcoholic Drinks.

The Georgian Agriculture Ministry says the publication aims at assisting Georgian winemakers in exporting Georgian alcoholic beverages to the Norwegian market. The publication is in Georgia and comprises an annotation in English.

The Ministry welcomes the EUGBC efforts to promote the Georgian wine exports to the Norwegian market and hopes the cooperation with EUGBC will aid the Ministry to promote Georgian wine exports on new markets.

The publication covers such important issues of the EU-Georgia trade relations as a brief information on Norway, historical overview of the Norway market for alcoholic drinks, specifics of imports of alcoholic drinks, the role of state monopoly; statistical data and tendencies and taxation system for alcoholic beverages and so on.
