The budget of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs will make up 30 million GEL.
Under the bill of amendments to the 2010 state budget, appropriations for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Monument Protection will be divided and 55 million GEL will go to the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection and 30 million GEL will go to the new Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
As reported, Vladimer Vardzelashvili, the Georgian President’s governor in the Shida Kartli Region, will head the new Ministry.
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili voiced the structural changes last week.
The Georgian parliament is expected to approve the state budget amendments jointly with the staff reshuffles on Friday.
