Batumi to Host International Conference on Regional Development Issues

On July 8-9 the hotel of Sheraton Palace in Batumi, the Autonomous Republic of Achara, will host a conference called as Domestic and Regional Development in Europe: Contemporary Challenges.

The Regional Development and Infrastructure Ministry says about 150 representatives from the South Caucasian and the European Union countries and Georgia will attend the conference, as well as government officials of Georgia, MPs, local self-government officials and international experts.

International experts are expected to share international experience in domestic and regional development issues to Georgian colleagues.

The Ministry will hold the conference in collaboration with the Council of Europe. The German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ),, the Center for Effective Governance System and Territorial Arrangement Reform (CEGSTAR) and the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia NALAG are providing a financial support to the conference.
