Cartu insurance company generated insurance premium worth 9 358 782 GEL in 2009, down 222 GEL compared to 2008.
The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) says Cartu paid claims worth 8 154 029 GEL, down 215 318 GEL year on tear.
It is worth noting the health insurance product is leader in the Cartu insurance portfolio with a 97 percent stake. In the reporting period the company generated health insurance premium worth 9 116 507 GEL. Cargo transportation ranks second with 57 261 GEL and property insurance ranks third with 54 750 GEL.
The Cartu ratio on the Georgian insurance market makes up 2.6 percent.
Cartu insurance company was founded in 2001 and is united in Cartu Group founded by Georgian businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili.
