International Monetary Fund to Disburse nearly 400 million USD to Armenia for Three Years

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) plans to disburse around 400 million USD to Armenia as part of the counter-crisis support two programs for Armenia

Each program will last for three years. At the first stage, Armenia will receive 53 million USD, Mediamax news portal reports.

The new programs aim at restoring the finance and budget and foreign economic stability, strengthening the financial stability, promoting the economic growth and facilitating the poverty reduction, IMF says.

“The flexible exchange rate is a cornerstone of the programs to achieve the government goal – the inflation targeting”, the IMF deputy managing director said.
