Official Statistics Records 216.2 GEL as May’s Cost of Living for Middle-Sized Family

In May 2010 the cost of living of able-bodied males dropped 2.05 percent compared to May 2009 and made up 128.9 GEL, while the figure recorded 131.6 GEL a year ago, says GeoStat, the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

The cost of living of able-bodied males in May went up 1.17 percent compared to April 2010 (127.4 GEL in April).

The medium consumer cost of living in may 2010 shrank 2.06 percent year on year and equaled 114.1 GEL, while the figure recorded 116.5 GEL in May 2009. The figure marked 112.8 GEL in April 2010.

The middle-sized family average cost of living in May 2010 counts for 216.2 GEL, while the figure stood at 220.7 GEL in May 209 and 213.6 GEL in April 2010.

The one-member family cost of living equals 114.1 GEL in May (116.5 GEL in May 2009). The two-member family cost of living stands at 182.6 GEL (186.5 GEL in May 2009). The three-member family cost of living counts for 205.4 GEL (209.8 GEL in May 2009). The four-member family cost of living totals 228.3 GEL (233.1 GEL in May 2009). The five-member family cost of living makes up 256.8 GEL in May 2010 (262.2 GEL in May 2009).
